First aid at work requalification

Requalify as a First Aider

This 2-day course is for nominated first aiders who need to requalify in First Aid at Work.
To attend this course, the learner must have a current First Aid at Work certificate (or have a certificate that has expired for no more than 28 days at the start of the course**)

What is covered on a First Aid at Work course?

Over two days, candidates will receive in-depth training, providing the skills to deal with first aid emergencies.
Topics covered include;

  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Legislation
  • Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Use of an AED
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Head Injuries
  • Shock (including anaphylaxis)
  • Poisons
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Heart Attack
  • Burns and Scalds
  • Sprains, strains and dislocations
  • Fractures
  • Eye Injuries

**Note that expired certificates mean that the learner cannot carry out first aid until they have successfully requalified.

If your certificate has expired by more than 28 days, you will need to sit the 3-day First Aid at Work course.
